Individual Players in the DTBL |
draft
Individuals who sign up through free agency will enter the draft pool of their selected skill category. During the open house or preseason selection process, captains will be able to observe the available players for selection and make their picks in the free agent draft that follows.
Small Groups
We will do our best to accommodate small groups and pairs of players who wish to play together. However full teams who register together will receive priority placement before we begin to address individual requests from registrants.
teams in need of extra players
Teams in need of an extra player(s) can do so from the individual registrant pool and will pick from the draft in order based on the number of players they already have on the team. For example; if a team has 8 players to begin with and are in need of an extra two, the team captain will pick his two players in the 9th and 10th round of the draft after the individual teams have reached 8 total roster players.
Captains
We request that any individual player with the interest of becoming a captain and choosing their own team disclose so during registration. A captain's responsibilities beyond the draft should include:
- To make sure that all team mates are satisfied with adequately equal playing time.
- Ensure that a full team of at least 5 players can be fielded
- Remind your teammates of the upcoming schedule
A $25 registration discount will be given to all free agent captains.
Trades
We give teams the opportunity to conduct no more than 1 mid season trades at exactly the 5 game mark. Sometimes teams made from individuals do not gel properly or an abundance of players at the same position can make for awkward chemistry. The following conditions must be met before a trade will be approved.
- Both Captains mutually agree on the swap
- The two players involved in the swap both approve
- Only 1 for 1 trades are allowed
- Both players have played a minimum of 3 games by the deadline
